Project Description:  Project consists of interior renovation and site work to the existing Edith Abbott Memorial Library. Approximate scope of interior work is 16,900sf and will include new meeting spaces, lobby modifications, a new vestibule, makerspace, study rooms, teen collection space, office and administration space, single-use restrooms, and like spaces. New paint and carpet and ceilings will be included throughout the majority of the scope of work. New egress doors and exterior frames and glazing will be included. New electrical, lighting, plumbing and HVAC will be included throughout the scope of work, including a new RTU to serve a portion of the building. Site work consists of new pavement, walks, curbs, plaza space, plantings, and accessories.

FAIR LABOR STANDARDS
The successful bidder will be required to comply with fair labor standards as required by Nebraska R.R.S 73-102 and comply with Nebraska R.R.S. 48-657 pertaining to contributions to the Unemployment Compensation Fund of the State of Nebraska.  Successful bidder shall maintain a drug free workplace policy.  Every public contractor and his, her or its subcontractors who are awarded a contract by the City for the physical performance of services within the State of Nebraska shall register with and use a federal immigration verification system to determine the work eligibility status of new employees physically performing services within the State of Nebraska.

ANYTHING HEREIN TO THE CONTRARY NOTWITHSTANDING, THE OWNER IS NOT BOUND TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID; THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS, AND THE OWNER RESERVES THE ABSOLUTE RIGHT TO SELECT THE FIRM OR TEAM WHICH IS, IN THE OWNER'S SOLE DISCRETION, BEST SUITED TO PROVIDING THE REQUESTED SERVICES ON A COMPETENT, TIMELY BASIS, REGARDLESS OF PRICE.
