LEED Silver Certified! The James E. Bertelsmeyer Hall at the Missouri University of Science & Technology has achieved LEED Silver from the U.S. Green Building Council. The new 68,500-square-foot building serves the Chemical and Biochemical Engineering Department, and meets both educational and research needs with highly specialized laboratory and high-bay spaces.

Sustainable building and site features include reduced water use and heat island effect, optimized energy performance, use of recycled, regional and low-emitting materials, stormwater management features, and development density and community connectivity.
