LPS Lincoln East High School Renovation & Addition

We completed a comprehensive HVAC renovation to the 386,000-square-foot Lincoln East High School and completed a 10,000-square-foot addition while keeping the school open during the school year. The process began with an extensive building investigation to evaluate the condition of existing systems and develop recommendations for a design solution. After meeting with the school representatives to learn about their needs, we used a Project Scorecard to identify and prioritize needs and wants.

We replaced the existing HVAC system with a ground source heat pump system, in keeping with a district goal to make their systems more standardized. We also made maintenance improvements, ADA-compliant accessibility upgrades, building shell improvements and other general upgrades to the entire building.

The project included an auditorium renovation, as well as a 10,000-square-foot expansion to provide more space for the cafeteria, kitchen and office areas. We also made improvements to Family Consumer Science and Performing Arts areas. The media center was renovated to address changes in technology, while also featuring flexibility to accommodate future technology, with raised floor systems, upgraded power and data capabilities, a more secure circulation desk, and computer friendly lighting and incorporation of natural light.
