Pius X High School – Master Plan and Performing Arts Addition

We have provided planning, architecture, and engineering services for Pius X High School for more than 25 years.

Our latest work involved a new master plan for the school, developing a vision for the school from 2012 forward. Replacing their inadequate performing arts facilities was one the critical goals. A new Performing Arts Center would provide Pius with a facility that meets the quality of its excellent music and drama programs. With seating for 600, the theater would offer an orchestra pit, fly loft, dressing rooms, and scene shop. In addition, a new black box theater would serve as a drama classroom, a smaller performance venue, or a green room during show runs.

To meet other Fine Arts needs, the addition would offer new classrooms and storage for the art, vocal and band programs, as well as dedicated practice rooms. The addition also will provide new space for Industrial Arts, Family and Consumer Sciences, and general classrooms. The full Phase I implementation will add new stadium locker rooms, and performance gym/locker room improvements as well. Phase II would add more new classrooms and improve athletics facilities.
