UNL Devaney Sports Center – Various Projects

We have worked at the Devaney Sports Center since its original design in 1976. Major projects include a fan amenities renovation, renovations to the indoor track, addition of the $12.8 million Hendricks Training Complex, and the 2015 façade replacement.

The fan amenities renovation in 2000 updated the arena area to meet the needs of a top-level, Division I program, with concourse improvements, expanded concessions, a hospitality room, new arena lighting and sound, “Husker Vision” screens, seating, and ADA improvements. Improvements also were made to locker facilities and team offices.

Also in 2000, we installed a new hydraulically-banked Mondo track that at its installation was recognized as one of the fastest in the world. Other track and field improvements included a 1,000-seat expansion, new pit surfaces, and new lighting and sound control.

In addition to designing the 73,000-square-foot Hendricks Training Complex addition in 2011, we recently clad the original 128,000-square-foot building’s façade with a combination of aluminum composite and metal wall panels.
