Country Club of Lincoln

Country Club of Lincoln

The Clark Enersen Partners implemented a master plan completed by Chambers, a nationally acclaimed country club planning firm. The master plan provided a vision and recommendations to improve how the club works, how events and activities are scheduled, and how the club can serve its patrons in new ways.

The plan also identified how to make the club appealing for younger generations who desire a more contemporary and casual environment, while preserving the heritage, tradition, and character of the existing club. Implementation of Phase 1 projects included:
  • Resurfacing of the parking lot, and a new arrival and golf cart parking area and staging area for events
  • Design of a new plaza and entry for the golf pro shop
  • Expansion of the fitness center
  • A new, more intuitive, safer, and enjoyable pathway from the parking lot directly to the pool area and patio grill at the rear of the club
  • Creation of more casual “drop in” spaces like the patio, grill, etc. that don’t require reservations
Phase 2 improvements included a focus on the dining and kitchen areas, renovating the current options as well as adding a variety of environments for indoor dining, including a walk-up outdoor bar, a family grill, etc. Reconfigurations and renovations from the front to the back of the house focused on functionality and streamlining access for staff.

Project success can be attributed to striking a balance between diverse opinions and needs, and responding to the interests of a variety of stakeholders and members who had distinct visions for the club.
