Merriam Community Center Takes Home DBIA-MAR Merit Award

Clark & Enersen, in partnership with McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., received a DBIA-MAR (Design-Build Institute of America – Mid-America Region) Merit Award for the Merriam Community Center in Merriam, Kan. This notable award was given at the organization’s 21st Annual Awards Celebration held on November 19 at Boulevard Brewing Company in Kansas City, Mo. Architect Rick Wise, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, was in attendance to accept the award on behalf of the team.

“It’s always humbling to receive recognition for our design work, but we also want to thank the City of Merriam for giving us an opportunity to design a flexible, multiuse facility that we hope will meet the needs of the community for years to come,” says Wise, who served as principal-in-charge for the project. “We are also happy to share this award with Perkins&Will and our design-build partner McCarthy. Congratulations to everyone involved!”
