Project Information

The Work of the Project will demolish and remove three buildings (Building B, Building C, and Building T) on the Beatrice Development Center campus, as well as roadways and sidewalks adjacent to the buildings. Most existing utility tunnels and storm sewer infrastructure to these buildings will be capped and abandoned, or removed, some new storm infrastructure will be provided, and the site will be regraded and seeded. Some existing site lighting will be removed and new site lighting will be provided. The Carsten Center parking lot and drive will be repaired as necessary to remediate damage caused by construction traffic. Temporary access roads on either side of the Carstens lot will be required to access the construction site and the green space will be repaired once the roads are removed.

Bid Submittal and Opening

Sealed proposals for furnishing all equipment, transportation, tools, materials, labor and skills necessary and incidental to perform all work described in the Proposed Contract Documents entitled:   Beatrice State Developmental Center – Buildings B,C &T Demolition and Site Restoration Project – will be received at the location below.

Bid Time:  2:00pm, local time — Any bids received after the closing time will be returned unopened.

Faxed or Electronic Bids:  Not Allowed

Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.

Pre-Bid Meeting

The Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Beatrice State Development Center, 3000 Lincoln Street, Beatrice, NE 68310 on April 25, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. (CST). Meet at the Beatrice State Development Center (BSDC) Maintenance Building located at the northeast area of the BSDC Campus.
