Project Information

Project consists of a new building addition to the South of the existing facility.  Construction entails slab on grade structural steel columns and beams with joists and metal deck.  Exterior walls are comprised of brick veneer and cementitious panels with metal stud framing backup.  The spaces in this addition include new church foyer, reception, office space, restrooms, a new egress route for the sanctuary, a new childcare entrance, office, and classroom.  A new entry drive, covered drive up and drop off, and parking lot to the south will supplement the new addition. Project cost is anticipated to be just under $2,000,000.

Pre-Bid Meeting

A Prebid meeting for all bidders will be held at the project site on February 2nd at 1:00 pm local time.  Prospective prime bidders are required to attend.  The PreBid meeting will start in the Sanctuary.

Bidders’ Questions:  Architect will provide responses to bidders’ questions at Prebid Conference by Addendum.

Bid Submittal and Opening

The Owner — Seward United Methodist Church — will receive sealed lump bids until the bid time and date at the location given below.  Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instruction to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows:

Bidders Qualifications

  • Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work.  A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
  • Bidders shall submit their proposed key project team members with a selected list of projects they have worked on within the past 10 years.
  • Bidders shall submit a minimum of 3 relevant past projects (minimum of 1 photo) with project narrative (summary) completed within the past 10 years.
  • Bidders shall include references with past projects.
