Clark & Enersen designed an addition to the North American Martyrs Catholic School that expands its existing middle school wing. As the largest Catholic PK-8 grade school in Lincoln, additional space was required to support growing student enrollment. Previously, the school had converted its traditional library space into a classroom to meet demand but wanted to reintroduce that space as part of this project. Following a facility investigation and space study program, it was determined that building a one-story addition would best meet the needs of the school.

Features of the addition include:

• Library with connecting courtyard
• Five paraprofessional education rooms
• Three preschool rooms
• Art room
• Teacher workroom
• Three additional classrooms
• Youth social room for after-school activities
• Geothermal wellfield
• LED lighting

The project was completed in the fall of 2018.
