District OR-1 Palmyra High School, Olson Sports Complex

District OR-1 Palmyra High School, Olson Sports Complex

Palmyra High School was in need of a new sports and recreation facility for their school district and community. A generous donation by the Olson Foundation gave the OR-1 School district and Village of Palmyra the opportunity to fulfill that dream.

The complex features:

  • A new synthetic soccer/football field.
  • Stadium seating for 650 spectators.
  • A press box.
  • Team meeting rooms.
  • Concessions.
  • Equipment storage.
  • A baseball field with seating for 250 spectators.

The football field is surrounded by an eight-lane performance track which allowed the district to fulfill a long-term goal of hosting regional and district track meets.

Project funds also went towards improving the city park and walking trails, connecting the high school to the city park and new sports complex. As part of the city park renovation, the existing softball field and concessions/restroom building was renovated and expanded including new LED field lights.
