Clark & Enersen was selected to provide programming and laboratory planning, architecture, and mechanical and electrical engineering services for the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s Health Sciences Building. The state-of-the-art teaching and research facility supports the Schools of Pharmacy and Nursing and fosters interprofessional collaboration between faculty, students, and others.

The building features:

  • More than 50,000 square feet of research laboratory space.
  • A 30,000-square-foot vivarium for comparative medicine research.
  • Support spaces for classes focused on hands-on production and dispensing of pharmaceuticals.
  • Small cGMP lab of Class 10,000 design that enhances pharmacy curriculum.
  • Classrooms ranging from small seminar rooms to 120-seat lecture halls.
  • Integrated technology throughout to create an advanced learning environment.
